I ate some frozen chicken that I don't think was good?

I thawed out some chicken that I bought a week ago. It has been in the freezer ever since. The chicken didn't look good or smell that good - yet I don't know what raw chicken is suppose to smell like. I thought the chicken should be fine since its been in the freezer, but now I am worried. What do you think? Can chicken be bad if it's frozen? The chicken I bought is the chicken in a box individually wrapped. I have ate this type of chicken for years, but never has looked like this.
