IS it possible to overclock a cpu without the temperature rising?

I'm not so sure if I overclocked correctly because I know that as the clock speed increases, the temperature also increases, however, after overclocking my E 5200 from 2.50 ghz to 3.80 ghz, I see no real temperature increase in the cpu or the motherboard. I do have 2 120mm case fans that move 80 cfm of air each, could it be because of that, of did I just overclock wrong by raising the fsb speed to 1200 instead of the stock 800?
