Rag Quilt Help Needed?

NO, NO Flannel unless you use it as a backing piece - it is not durable enough to stand up to the heavy use a quilt gets. Also go to any store that sells fabrics/sewing machines etc they will have a selection of needle weights for various machines and get yourself a variety. The package will tell you what weight is for what fabric. Check out quilting books at your local library they will give you lots of hints and help. Good Luck
