Actually he meant for it to be pleasurable. But only in marriage. If a person has before marriage it is considered a sin. Because the bible teaches that when two people have , they become one. So why become one with someone you are not married to? The book of Song of Songs is all about two lovers. And part of it is about , and how amazing it is. You should read it for yourself.
