Should I choose to be his life partner?

I personally think you are making a mistake your parents are right. first of all my soul mate was 20 years older then me. yes i was so in love with him this was second marriage for both we did it and then he died after 25 years i am so upset and its been two years and i am still there that is for me to try and get myself together but i doubt i ever wil do you want this to be alone at a time when you will need something. its just a thing you will be alone and at what age? its horrible i was lucky he left he sitting well but some dont' get that lucky. now you are going to have things yes but for how long its sounds so fishy to me i think i would opt witht he parents and lget him go you are messing up big time and evetnaully you will see it.
