My Ideal Standard Gas Boiler........?

has performed faultlessly for 11 years. However there is a sort of soft, intermittent t noise when it is burning now. I wondered if the boiler temperature was too high, but that has never been altered and the water in the boiler circuit is not excessively hot. It is serviced and checked every year. Can a heating engineer advise please?
